The school year runs to 177 teaching days across three terms. Half terms are a full fortnight in the autumn and a week in the spring and summer.

Staff training days
Staff training days are days when the school is closed to pupils while staff train together. This year all four of them fall within the holidays, so no training day closes the school on a day your child would otherwise be in.

Holidays in term time
We do not authorise holidays during term time other than in exceptional circumstances. This is not administrative fussiness: in a school this size, a fortnight out of a mixed-age class is genuinely hard to make up, and it is the pupil who carries the cost.
If you have a situation you think is exceptional, submit a leave request through the Parent Hub before booking anything. It goes straight to the Head Teacher and you will be emailed with a decision.
