Why it matters
Fees cover the ordinary running of the school, and they are deliberately kept low — a fraction of what most independent schools charge, so that Christian education is possible for families who could not otherwise consider it.
That choice has a consequence. It means the school has always depended on people who give.
Gifts pay for the things fees cannot stretch to: the outside space the children play on, resources in classrooms, and the margin that lets a small school keep going through a difficult term. Every pupil here benefits from somebody's generosity, whether they know it or not.
Ways to give
Regular giving, even in small amounts, is the most useful of all. A school can plan around it in a way it cannot plan around one-off gifts, however generous.

One word of caution. If you ever receive an email that appears to come from the school giving different account details, or asking you to change where you send a standing order, please ring us before sending anything. We will never ask you to change our bank details by email.
Gift Aid
If you are a UK taxpayer, we can claim Gift Aid on eligible donations. That adds 25p to every pound you give, at no cost to you.
Ask us for a Gift Aid declaration form, or tick the option where the giving platform offers it.
Legacies and larger gifts
If you are considering remembering the school in your will, or making a larger gift towards a particular project, please speak to the Head Teacher. These conversations are always private and never pressured.

Praying for the school
Emmanuel began as a prayer meeting in 2001, two years before it had a building or a pupil, and it has never stopped depending on that.
Our termly prayer newsletter carries specific things to pray for. It goes to churches, former parents, grandparents and anyone else who asks.

Emmanuel Christian School is part of the Leicestershire Christian Education Trust, a registered charity, number 1212742. Gifts support the ongoing charitable work of the school and are used where they are most needed.
