Reformation Day

On Tuesday 31st October we celebrated Reformation Day. It was 500 years since Martin Luther nailed his 95 theses to the door of All Saints Church in Wittenberg, Germany. This began what is known as the Reformation of the church.

As a school, we focused on the fact that the Reformation led to the Bible being translated into many languages so that everyone can read it in their own language.

Our senior pupils performed a play. Our Infants and juniors made reformation biscuits and lanterns. We enjoyed a simple lunch of soup, bread and cheese made by our year 10 pupils and many of us wore 16th century clothes.
